About

Portrait of Christopher Tejada

I'm an IT and cybersecurity professional with over 22 years of experience delivering secure, mission-focused solutions — IT governance, regulatory compliance, technology risk management and security operations. I'm currently a Cybersecurity Specialist at Diehl Metering in Nuremberg, working on product security for smart meters with digital elements and the SaaS platforms built around them.

My focus there is regulatory: making sure the product portfolio meets EU requirements — GDPR, the Cyber Resilience Act, NIS2 and RED cybersecurity — and holds up against standards frameworks like ISO 27001. It's the same discipline I spent years applying to large regulated infrastructures, pointed at connected products rather than enterprise networks.

The throughline across that career has been policy development, operational support and cybersecurity planning that improves system resilience and organisational readiness — alongside hands-on network infrastructure design and troubleshooting. I hold a BSc in Cybersecurity with a minor in Information Networks, I'm working toward CISSP, and I treat staying current on emerging threats as part of the job rather than an extra.

What I care about most is making security something people can actually follow — clear procedures, plain-language training, and tools that help rather than obstruct. Most of this work is collaborative: security initiatives only land when they're carried out across teams that don't all share your vocabulary.

I live in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. Outside work I'm a volunteer firefighter, qualified on breathing apparatus, and serve on the Donnersberg district drone and rope-rescue teams. I also volunteer as an emergency first responder with the German Red Cross.

The answer is always yes. The question is how — and how do we do it securely?
